Our teachers have taught at Spanish language schools in Bolivia for more than a decade. Now, we're offering 1-on-1 online lessons to Spanish learners worldwide.

OUR
APPROACH
In Bolivia, a yapita refers to asking a market vendor for "a little extra" after buying from their stand. It's like the Bolivian version of the American expression, "Baker's dozen."
NUESTRO MÉTODO
En Bolivia, el término yapita se refiere al "extra" que se pide o recibe de un vendedor en el mercado libre. Es parecido a la expresión estadounidense, "Baker's dozen."
We named this school Escuelita Yapita because we aim to always do the same for my students: give them a little extra. Except in our case, instead of an extra camote (sweet potato) or pepino (cucumber), it's extra effort. Extra patience. An extra push to finally give learning Spanish your all—with our support beside you.
Our goal is to help students of all levels communicate more effectively in Spanish, and feel comfortable applying what they've learned in the real world.
Lessons are held on Google Meet and incorporate written grammar exercises, spoken conversation, and hands-on activities—all built around your needs.
Esta escuela se llama Escuelita Yapita porque queríamos hacer lo mismo para nuestros estudiantes: darles un poquito extra. Pero en nuestro caso, esto no significa un camote o un pepino extra. Es esfuerzo extra. Es paciencia extra. Es un empujón extra para que puedas dedicarte a aprender español con nosotros a tu lado.
Nuestra misión es ayudar a estudiantes de cada nivel a comunicarse mejor en español y a sentirse cómodos aplicando lo que han aprendido, en el mundo real.

Las lecciones en Google Meet están basadas en lo que tú necesitas, y se forman a partir de ejercicios gramáticos, conversaciones, y actividades prácticas.
PRICING
We offer private lessons of 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours each. They come in packages of 10 lessons at a time for a rate of $18 (or €18) / hr.
$180 for ten 1-hour lessons
$270 for ten 1.5-hour lessons
$360 for ten 2-hour lessons
We're also happy to do 2-on-1 lessons if you and a friend want to take classes together. We charge $30 per hour for those, aka $15 per person.
We can discuss which plan works best for you in our initial consultation. We'll email you after our conversation with instructions on how to pay (we use a secure U.S.-based money transfer app called MoneyGram).
